Theres a good reason for not having a canopy. How do you get out if its upside down? I only thing i can envisage would be a mixture of the two. If you used the cage system but directly over the drivers head with enough gap to exit and a polycarbonate shield across part of the front to shield from any projectiles.

Or you just accept some risk.
