I think its the last time Schumi was banned (Italian and Portuguese GP 1994). He only had his championship position taken away from him after Jerez 1997.

Did you see the stewards reason for the race ban
'eliminated leading championship contenders from the race'.

Which to me means, if he'd just taken out the Saubers or Hamilton then he would have been fine. It wasn't a grudge move, he didn't get red mist. It was a little mistake with big consequences.

I just don't understand how the stewards cannot be impartial and consistent, I don't see what's so difficult.
