"Labour left the country in a mess?! Let's think back to what they inherited shall we?"

A current account surplus. Just think about that. We were paying off national debt.

Blair, the war criminal, got in on the back of Tory Sleaze, Tory divisions over Europe, and rather odd desire for "change" just change for change sake. Oh and courting the Murdoch press for support.

Now "things can only better" under Tory Sleaze & spin was/is nothing compared to what Blair & Brown did next, Alistair Campbell, selling us down the river to the EU, open door borders to jerrymander voting in the UK, WMD 15mins dossier, a huge expansion of the public sector, while managing to privatise huge swathes of public sector jobs by continuing and expnding outsourcing particularly low paid jobs, talking a nice game, but deregulating the financial sector, and overseeing an explosion in personal, corporate and public sector debt, a bubble confused as growth, because Brown alchemy/fantasy was he had banished boom and bust, when in fact he was inflating the biggest balloon in history.

By the way Cameron writes millionaires £40K cheque betrays his Miliband's belief that all wealth belongs to the state, which it may do in a socialist, marxist nirvana, when in truth and not till 2015, Cameron will ask for £40k less of a millionaires money, and I'd imagine it'll only be collected by consumption taxes elsewhere, like fuel duty, which made up of over 80% tax, has being rising higher than inflation due to the fuel duty escalator introduced by? Gordon Brown. And as a result of quantitive easing, introduced by? Alistair Darling in a similar way to Argentina post junta) as the only way to reduce the debt, but of course as it devalues and we import so much means prices rises. Oil is priced in dollars, in case you missed that economics lesson.

Oh what did Miliband say about £40K? http://fullfact.org/articles/labour_refines_millionaires_tax_cut_claim-28459
