Nope not put off by it... other than I already support it through work (a few of the guys cycling for the JDRF) and a bunch of other stuff too as my nephew is / has been Type 1 for most of his life.

From a general awareness piece, diabetes is the number two killer behind cancer and the mortality rate for those with Type 1 juvenile diabetes is hideous.

And no this not a diet related condition, and yes the rate is increasing..more info here
