If my calculator skills and brain are working today then at 70 mph a 2 second gap between cars would be just over 68 yards or 15/16 car lengths.

How often do you see a car going faster than 70 on a motorwasy and sitting no more than one car length behind the one in front?

Can't really see the police pulling over a whole line of cars because they only have about a10 car gap between each one but if it helps cut down on the idiots then that can only be good - not convinced that many will get caught though.
