Chain Lub getting in clutch drum Rotax

Hi I have a problem where the the chain lube is finding its way onto the clutch, thus slipping. Before you all say use less lube, i have done so, and eaten my way through both sprockets and a chain. I'm using Shell and have tried Putoline with no success.

So I figure that i am either using the wrong lube ,or thats just the way it is, for which you have to clean the drum after every session.

Any suggestions for a solution would be appreciated.
