Making it fair, so obviously it isn’t already???

By ensuring all CoC’s and events stewards do what the competitor expects and pays for in his/hers MSA renewal, club membership, race entry and their series enrollment. Paying for more checks is not acceptable, they should already be carrying out this process.

A complete rule review would drive costs down too. I’m all for an elite class where the manufactures can show off their latest equipment and the rules can be open for interpretation.

KF1 is and should be that class, worldwide. However for the masses it’s time a change was made, for instance.

Banning all Data acquisition/data logging, Weather stations/electronic barometers, Jetting Software/analysis.

Allowing only RPM counters & engine temp readout for water cooled classes.
What’s wrong with Dad’s Ł9.99 stop watch?

Tyre choice overhaul for all classes. Soft tyres are not necessary.

A more consistent and harder compound tyre to be used. Bagged up and impounded after every round. Used only on racedays for the duration of six events, easily achieved.

Engines to be sealed for the duration of the season, a Max especially could complete an entire season without being rebuilt. Bt82’s could probably pull off a similar feat.

A competitor must use the same chassis for the duration of the series. Yes write-off’s do happen but are so rare this could be dealt with fairly; with a frame replacment.

An instant ban on expensive magnesium wheels & components. They’re not necessary. Ban all lightweight nuts, bolts, floortrays, exhaust mounts etc

A revision of all class weights would enable the heavier guys to run without these expensive parts.

Dumping Atol! Why are competitors charged so much for what is effectively pump fuel with a dye? There are many fuel analysis experts who would happily work along side the MSA for fuel testing purposes. If people are cheating, it doesn’t matter how much they pay for their fuel or where it comes from. The purpose is to catch those tampering. If Atol treasure their exclusivity they would come around to what really matters, the competitor.

There are many people who would shout about an overnight ban on so many of their precious assets and trick bits. But were the MSA or any of the clubs concerned when they immediately made air-cooled 100cc equipment redundant overnight. No they weren’t! What about the change in chassis for the new bumper car bodywork? Again they didn’t give a care to lad & Dad teams who try to manage there expenses so carefully.

This just scratches the surface of a sport spiraling out of control.
