I know someone in Honda Cadet S1 who has spent well over Ł50k in the last two years as they run with a well known manufacturer/team. They not only race in S1 but make sure they test and race at all the S1 tracks prior to the S1 date itself.

At Ł250+ p/d for running with a team it all adds up, but hey the father is comfortable paying for it.

He's off to minimax next year by the sounds of it.
