The standard test used to be to check that cadets were using FC oil on race day rather than castor.
I have seen a hand-held tester for octane rating - it was used at Llandow for the welsh championships but not sure how accurate it was and therefore if it would hold up on appeal.
The Atol testing involves using an oven and takes a few minutes but no idea exactly what is involved. Certainly got the impression that it was not the sort of equipment that every club would want to but.
