hi Luke, best starting point for maintenance is a downloadable workshop manual from a google search... try gx160 workshop manual and pick your model type.

When you have the basics sorted and you fancy looking closer have a browse of the free ebook at www.ukpollards.com

cheers for the plug Trev but all Gx stuff is within the ebook these days and thus FREE!, as a sort of thank you to UKK for ten years plus of stirling support!
