No I didn't use carb cleaner - I will go and get some tomorrow. I have just been flushing everything out with filtered fuel.
John, I downloaded your fantastic article, but I don't have the means of pressure testing the valve (other than blowing down it - unscientific I know). How much movement should be in the floats - as i say there is only 1 or 2mm before it spills over the edge of the chamber.
