I have a copy of the Chassis Homologation Appendix but does that cover the new crashworthiness bodywork as well?

For example - that link to a kart on ebay that someone posted earlier where the bodywork had been changed to meet the new rules. How would you know if the new bodywork complied with the new rules? I assume that when the kart was originally manufactured (before the new rules came into place) the bodywork was satisfactory and the chassis had a TKM platenumber which would still be there now. But the kart would be illegal if the body work was not changed. So is there not something distinguishable on the bodywork to show that it complies with the new rules?

Am i right or have i missed something??
