The driver that crossed the line first in the 1978 100 National British Championship was using 60% petrol, 30% Nitro-Methane and 10% Acetone, and was pulling away by about a second a lap without even trying (lots of exhaust smoke and engine choking). The driver was subsequently disqualified from the results, but exonerated from blame as he was simply driving a kart provided by one of the countries top teams at that time who claimed sabotage, but accepted responsibility.
