The safety [or lack of it] back then was ridiculous and I'm happy the days of seeing GP drivers killed every couple of months is behind us.

However what is good about those cars is how bad they are, i.e. the ill handling... how much influence the driver had on the package. Look at JYS 4-wheel drifting the tyrell through Woodcote, wouldn't be fantastic to see that today ?
