Nothing wrong in my book with naming and shaming so long as the facts are correct.

From what I can work out on this one, the driver was given points and named so it would point to him being guilty. Does that then mean it's ok to carry if further? Personally no and I agree with NickyW that what's done is done. But we live in a democracy so others can express their view.

Where I think it does become a bit grey is when a thread is started referring to a specific individual (can deduce that by the plate, event and venue) and further down the same thread there's a comment that refers to 'nutters'and 'out of the sport'and again while I agree there should be NO PLACE for someone who goes out there with the intention of having someone off either because it's pre-meditated or because they're careless, a half decent lawyer could link the person and the comment and deduce that the implication is the driver is a nutter.

Er, difficult to prove that and potentially damaging to both the driver and the 'accuser'!!

With regard Super 1 and contact then I can see why people get put off. We do the champs because it is (still/just about) the premier event in the UK but that doesn't mean there isn't lots of bashing and 2009 sadly will be the same. It's like Clay and R1 this year, the track took a lot of criticism some justified and some not, about the merits of running a S1 round at that track and at that time of the year.

While some of the issues might have been avoided by running it elsewhere, the fact is if people drive badly and without respect and regard for others, then accidents will occur whether it's Clay, PF, an airport runway etc. So let's treat the problem and not the symptom which is an entirely separate thread one that has been done over and over again.

By all means let's get rid of the bashers and cheats some of whom might be the same person.
