I very much doubt Ian blames you for asking questions at all, and believe me, there is no one on this forum with more patience when it comes to answering and helping.

It is just that you usually head up with something like "A really important question"....then end with something like, "I would really like a useful answer to this".

As I see it most people think that they are giving "useful" answers when they reply, the fact that it may turn out to be absolute rubbish is not really the point, no one deliberately gives out "bum steers"....

But, stating as you do, probably does put people off replying. It just seems too intense.....people will give you their time and advice on here very freely.....no need to press them.
