The drum is fine - as far as they ever are on these things ! I replaced it 3 times over the weekend. Previously I had not had much of a problem with the starter apart from the expected wear and tear on the lugs where they engage with the palls.

The problem got worse over the weekend with more failures as the the problem worsened - and yes, I was that man standing on the grid at Rissy on Sunday holding a piece of rope, praying that the race wasn't red flagged, as my lad disappeared off the dummy grid.....

BRT are just down the road from us, so I will pay Adrian a visit - unless anyone has any better recommendation ?
