That's some serious kit!

Managed to get a nosey in the WSK TV truck when they were at PFi for the Worlds.
They had some moneys-worth too;
HD-SDI cameras linked back to the truck over singlemode fibre, wireless cam links for their roving cameras, all recoding to a RAID array in ProRes aswell as local HDDs on the cams themselves - then the live link in to a TriCaster setup to handle vision mixing/sfx/gfx/replays. Then the output from that to RAID in ProRes as well as a feed in to Ustream over the TVKC Sat internet links.

What with the cost of the kit, plus the skilled manpower reqired to run it all, no wonder it's out of reach of clubs to broadcast karting to a wider audience
