I apologise if I have misunderstood how the tool works as I didn't see the demonstration at the show (only had the tool explained to me), but my first thought was that this simply moves the problem around.
Doesn't this tool assume that the following are all in identical places relative to each other:
- Dowel drillings in the crankcase - Dowel drillings in the sidecover - Threads in the side of the sidecover - Keyway on the crankshaft (relative to the crank journal)
I doubt that they are - if it does, surely with the correct combination of case, side cover and crankshaft, it should be possible to build a really quick motor.
