The Corse always seemed to go alright in Saxon's hands - however the moment any of the other front runners got their hands on one, they couldn't work with it and it would seem to go off after a handful of meetings.
Also, to be fair, the Corse may have won the last UK Biland championship, but the season was actually dominated by Luke Williams on a Birel - the only reason he didn't win was because of reliability issues with his motor.
Quite a few Biland drivers switched to Birel including myself, and found it suited the engine and tyres perfectly - however this was 6 years ago! Only advice really I think anyone can give is to test a handful and see what you like! :)
