The consequences for the UK economy of a Brexit vote would be so horrendous that the impact on your go-karting would be rather insignificant. It would be the last thing on your minds.
Just one (usually overlooked) of many reasons: The rating agency S&P has said that “we could lower the [UK’s credit] rating by potentially more than one notch”. If you cannot see the importance of that – given the UK’s vast national debt – or indeed the decisions made by agencies like S&P and Moody’s, you might wish to look into this further.
The UK cannot begin to afford to buy into the illusion of ‘sovereignty’ in this integrated world. The pain of doing so anyway would be severe and protracted.
