Actually, I think starting with an aggressive use of the pedal can be useful. Doing a few lockups helps the driver to learn how much pressure is too much. Then move to small lockup and easing the pedal to get it back under control. Eventually they will hit it at the optimum pressure with no lockup. Unfortunately, my own experience of this was in direct drive so I could really hear and feel when I'd got it right. It might be a bit trickier in Honda but see how you get on. Once they'd got the hang of that you can start picking the braking point. Always pick a visual marker at the side of the track as a starting point for braking. Your driver can then aim for that and then improve on it later.
