There are plenty of cheap options around on ebay, the SJ4000 and so on for around Ł25-40. If you want a simple to operate camera though I have four of the Go Pro Hero 4 sessions ( I use these filming S1 and the British Minibikes Championship) that are being heavily advertised on TV at the moment. For Ł160 it is a superb camera and so simple to operate with its one button press to turn on and record operation, plus its fully waterproof. I have been delighted with them, and am planning on getting a couple more. You can access the menu via the go pro app on your smartphone which makes setting it up and formatting the card regularly a doddle.
