I don't see how it was an advantage by not having a battery. The same utterly stupid fiasco erupted with the X30 battery and people were running around like headless chickens saying people were gaining an advantage by disconnecting the battery.
The tag is apparently slower anyway and that's why you drive a DD to gain an advantage of NOT having a clutch.
I can't see any basis for your gripe regarding any performance advantage by the other lad, the poor sod was just trying to make the weight.
The world seems full of spurious irrelevant rules and regulations that ruin the game of karting.
Get better rather than get even.
