Errr … and Teesside isn’t the Northeast? Only the most enjoyable track in the country by a long way as far as I’m concerned – well worth the trip even from nearly on the south coast! Teesside was always a stand-out highlight on our race calendar.

I’d agree with much of the wish list in this thread for the nature of any new track. But of course all of that completely ignores the basic fact – as I understand it – that, to have any chance of being commercially viable, any such a new venue would have to be focussed almost entirely on rental karts. And that’s also reason number one why it’s highly improbable in the first place. Certainly our little owner/driver hobby couldn’t begin to pay for it.
