Looking at the results, all the classes were struggling to cope with the de-icer. Though X30s were definitely more susceptible by a good margin.
The same de-icer was used last year with fewer casualties. I suspect most/all X30s were on the old black electrics at that time.
My lad made it round in X30, but only with plastic bags, duct tape and liberal use of WD40 on all electrics. He said it was still misfiring occasionally.
Glad they called it all off though - don't know how the seniors made it round turns one and two at the start under the crappy lights with all that spray. Especially with motors conking out right and left.
