Bit long this, but..... just want to clarify....

IKR events generally appear to have a lot of drivers waiting until the last minute to enter. This makes it difficult to create the timetable for the event. In one off events the most common question is typically "how many have entered"... usually by people who then sit on the fence waiting for everyone else to enter first before committing.

For Tour Events we are removing the need to ask this question by listing the current entries and updating these daily, making them "pay on the day" events. If you don't want to turn up once you have viewed the final entries the day before you are due to travel, you can simply withdraw at this point, or we will make an announcement on social media that a certain class will not run if numbers do not meet a minimum (typically need at least 4 unless a class can be mixed grid with separate awards). Ideally, we may mix similar classes for heats but want to run single class grids for TV finals, as it is often difficult to do film coverage of multiple classes on track at the same time.

In order to encourage drivers to register interest, the "pay on the day" format makes it "risk free" to enter any class with limited numbers at any given time, as you have the option to withdraw if the final numbers do not satisfy your personal minimum.

THIS COULD BE A MISTAKE AND BITE ME IN THE BACKSIDE LISTING IKR EVENT NUMBERS DAILY, AS ENTRIES OFTEN TEND TO COME IN LATE...... BUT....I am listing the numbers in each class on the TDi Media website for you to view. If you are really interested in the event and would like to take part, we simply ask that you complete the registration at the bottom of the home page, following which we will update the list regularly throughout each day.

Type or paste your text here to convert casebear in mind, many entries come in late.... The higher the entries, others will then enter... And you do not pay until the day, so please register if you are interested in coming, and you can then watch your interest gather more momentum for others in the class to enter. 3 entries now, can be 6 tomorrow, 10 the next day, 15 the next, and so on.

Ultimately, you can text a message to 07595-371683 and withdraw the day before the event.

for tour events, the following awards scheme is in place for the special event trophies and watches.....

for the special trophy to be awarded to the winner of a class, a minimum of 6 drivers must take part. Drivers in 2nd and 3rd places will win an alternative trophy for that event.

for all bambino & cadet classes with a minimum of just two, and less than 8, a branded watch will be won by the driver winning and the driver setting the fastest lap (where the driver is not the winner.... Can only win one watch).

In all other junior and senior classes with a minimum of 8 drivers, the driver setting the fastest lap will win a branded watch.

in junior and senior classes with less than 6 entries, an alternative trophy will be awarded to the top three, with the winner receiving a branded watch, and, where the driver winning has not also set the fastest lap, the driver setting the fastest lap (assuming the driver is not the winner) also getting a watch.

I Hope this is clear to all.... read it a few times and call me if you have any questions on 07595-371683

ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT REGULATIONS FOR EACH EVENT PLEASE ASK THE LOCAL CLUB ORGANISING EACH EVENT

Thanks to those who have entered already.... Please ring around your friends to generate additional interest. I have had the "how many" question asked by at least 70 people.... I am told there are a number of Mini X30's interested, as well as Honda Cadet drivers in both 160 and 200, as well as Iame, ROK and Snr Rotax drivers, despite clashing with the Rotax British Champs.

6 Heats and final over two days. Any class reaching 20 the entry fee will be reduced by £10 (refunded after you have signed on and final numbers calculated).

It's an IKR event, 5th weekend, with only the British Champs for Rotax on..... no clubbies.

Go to home page at www.tdi-media.com and follow the links to see the entry list. Still this week and next so plenty of time..... Friday practice is available as an option.
