Not really, that theory only works for a single car on the circuit and offers less of advantage at the all important apex clipping point your view being hampered by any car in front.
I am unable to offer a specific reason as to why I prefer LHD, I just do but one interesting point I discovered some years ago is that if you put a novice driver on a circuit in a LHD their concentration levels improve when taken out of their familiar road car environment with every input being thought out rather than second nature road style which is not always the best way to tackle circuit lines.
