I have been told that it is only possible to replace the battery on the older type AMB 160 transponder, The newer rounded edge type are not serviceable.
Probably this is why AMB say that they no longer replace the batteries. I am sure someone on here will be able to say they can do the new ones so If that is you please let us all know for the future.
