If the "rozzers" deem it a risk to public safety/breech of the peace etc then yes they could.

Peronally I would pay the 25 to go to a circuit ask some to give your kart then once over (as a second opionion) and get out there and practice.

Then if something does fail on the kart most people we try and give you a hand to get it running again if possible.
