Did someone say no cadet deaths? So what exactly is trying to be achieved here, other than part us with more money?

It's all very well saying the're safer, but if the existing ones are safe enough already....... Wouldn't compulsary kneck braces for under 12's be more useful?

The only serious child head injury I've seen in karting, was last year. When a 10 year old, running to get to to the grid, was run over by a 4x4 in the paddock. Double skull fracture and a fraction away from death. Glad to report he's back in a kart now, but the new helmet wouldn't have helped there.
