It would be interesting to see tyre temperatures & pressures at various laps intervals for comparison. Also internal Air temperature would be useful ( tho' it could be deduced from pressure)
Ian, If magnesium were similar in weight to Aluminium, there would be few (if any) practical applications for it in engineering applications. Compared to Al, Mg is weaker, more brittle, harder to process and work with, difficult & dangerous to machine, more expensive (raw material cost) , prone to corrosion & fatigue failure. Its only advantage is weight reduction, and that has to be considered carefully bearing in mind the other mechanical limitations.
