Maybe. Its difficult to say though as we don't know how much better the 2010 TKM homologated chassis could/would be over what's currently available. Though others may have some information on it, I don't know how a 3 bearing CIK chassis would behave on the harder Maxxis tyres in terms of lap times.
The thing is, another variable has been introduced into TKM /2 this year with the addition of the TaG motor. So the class is a different animal to the way it was in the 1990s. The class has already been relaxed somewhat and relaxing it further [I believe] is its best chance of survival. Its difficult to see it surviving otherwise.
