At super 1 at the weekend there was a red flag in the final which two drivers were involved in. After the incident was dealt with the clerk decided to declare the result. When the results were issued, the two drivers involved in the red flag were included in the results! a lot of people were suprised at this. Its clear that when a red flag is called for and a restart is made later on, then the drivers involved are not allowed to take the restart. had their incident been dealt with under yellow flags then they would have been down and out regardless. Its seems very odd. surely this is something that needs changing. I will be emailing the s1 clerks to put it forward for the rule to be changed but I have never really come across this before.

upon querying the results anyway with a clerk, his intial view was that he would have been happy to put out a black and yellow quartered flag for the incident but the track s1 was visiting did not use them and they were not available which is another odd one. is anyone aware of a ruling for what requirements circuits must pass in order to hold an msa meeting? surely a full range of flags is the norm?
