i have sent an e-mail back to Joe Hickerton at MSA this morning regarding the helmet regs.

personally i think that if you have a currently legal snell rated helmet that has been passed by MSA scrutineers you should be able to run with that LEGAL helmet until it becomes out of date or gets dammaged...when it need to be replaced you buy one of the new CMR lids...IMO this is a sencible option.

My son is 9...he has 2 Snell 2005 helmets...one of which we have just got painted...now with these changes to the regulations we will be left with Ł1000 of perfectly good helemts gathering dust.

how many cadet and junior drivers are there in the UK alone...never mind europe...we all need to get a new helmet....nice money spinner for Bell and Arai i think.

Anyone for non MSA racing...we could start our own break away series...lol.
