I need some advice on welding a kart chassis.
I have recently bought an ex rental junior chassis,a Biz kart for my son to practice on until he moves to cadets and we have found that a few of the welds are cracked and one Attempted weld between the chassis and stub axle mounting (which I personally think stevie wonder could have welded much better !!)what advice can anyone give as to which is the best welding method to use tig,mig etc ?
As for Making a jig /fixture to set the chassis up isnt a problem as I work in the tooling dept in the aerospace industry so its just advice regarding prep work and the welding I need.
