You could try the lets go karting scheme where you can have a go for Ł5.00 - the link below goes to the leaflet that shows the clubs running the scheme.

Also worth a trip to the kartmania show near Coventry later this month.

After that also visit your local clubs to see what classes race there. Rissington, Shenington and Whilton have good grids of TKM which is also one of the lower cost classes.

Bear in mind the cost of the race suit and wet suit, gloves, boots and helmet. Then some tools and possibly a trailer to get the kart etc to and from the track. Your starting budget may be a bit on the low side.
