Why do we wait? it is madness that nose cone is for looks only to sell karts,.nobody at the msa is big enough to say "Enough change it now".
It is not only the MSA/Zip who could take action. All parents could make the change but as Road rat says - many won't because they want an advantage. However, I think only a very few would take advantage over safety.
The ABKC could also play a part by checking karts on the frid and removing any cadet with a damaged nose cone or one which is loose and adds to the shovel effect by being too close to the ground.
It is not enough to do the checks at scrutineering because there are parents who will use a new nose cone to pass that and then change to the old one for racing.
