For me I just weigh the kart at the circuit with my lad in to check if it's 60/40 for and aft and 50/50 side to side. My main circuits are Shenny and Whilton and they both have the scales level with the ground.
I know it's not perfect but I got fed up trying to get the home scales match the circuit scales
