What do you think? Because to be frank it's not my problem. The problem is one for UK karting as a whole and the MSA, by outlawing a perfecttly good helmet standard in the first place.
I don't know why other coutries and the FIA have not implemented this, nor for that matter is there any sign of the CMR helmet being made obligatory for anything but International level.
Could this perhaps be that a pragmatic view has been taken elsewhere?. i.e. That times are hard enough without karting parents being forced to spend hundreds of pounds just to buy the latest and greatest idea. It's a bit like everybody being forced to buy a new car just because slightly older ones are theoretically less safe.
