first it appears to be a practice session and not a race so lines are not important.
second the point on the track i think you are refering to seems to a new section of tarmac widening the corner and the white line has not been repainted? It doesnt look like a cut-through or have any purpose other than to widen the corner.
Its quite simple, a driver will use all the tarmac available to gain an advantage so dont put tarmac down where there is not supposed to be any track. Sorted.
Oh and in the wet the difference between a good driver and an average driver will be far more than in the dry, looks like a very good set up and driver in that kart.
