No reg to prohibit lead on seat. the regs state that a maximum of 5kg for any single point to be secuered by a minimum of 2 fixings. However If the scruit is of the opinion that the mounting point is not sufficiently strong enough they may ask you to move it. That said you are sat in the same seat, normally mounted by 4 mounting points and I will assume that you weigh somewhat more than 10 kgs so if the seat were that thin to make it unsafe to mount 5 kgs with 2 fixings logic says that the seat was unsafe for you to sit in and in danger of imminent collapse. Are you sure you did not spill his tea or somthing else to upset him?
