I find the driving standards depressing to be honest. Thatys why i've put my son in non MSA. Just to put that in perspective we've had some great races doing non msa and had to spend very little time straightening, repairing the kart etc.
I decided to put him in a MSA practice as our club allows this anjd his pace was good but he just kept getting knocked off to the point wher he asked one of the drivers why he did it and the reply was "you weren't as quick as me" to which my lad replied "why didn't you overtake then" the reply, "it would of took too long". And thats just practice. And beliene me, that aint racing.
