So this seems to be the choices for 2013:

Honda: Buy a new T2, apply air restrictor/weight restriction to slow them down
Comer: apply air restrictor/weight restriction to slow them down
IAME: Buy a engine.

I am a Honda Cadet dad - getting towards the end of our first year in the sport and we are carrying 16kgs already. For the young ones in the class, carrying more weight puts them at an even bigger disadvantage to the stronger older lads. And if they start slowing Honda/Comers down by making them use standard gearing - that is just plain dumb.

Seems to me our only option is to join the IAME crowd so I have ordered two engines.
