Ł1000 for Friday/Saturday/Sunday is quite easy to get to.

Ł150 fuel
Ł120 entry and testing
Ł280 tyres
Ł240 accomodation (or add another Ł150 onto fuel for motorhome)
Ł240 mechanic

That's without counting any consumables, engine/chassis wear and tear, accident damage, food etc. I've probably underestimated on fuel also. If you argue you don't need a mechanic all these other things could easily cover that amount. That's before you even consider team fees if any.

Ł1000 for a 3-day meeting is pretty cheap. For a 2-day meeting it's not surprising and even for a 1-day meeting it would be fairly conceivable as many of the costs are fixed regardless of how many days you are racing.
