There is a terrible amount of jealousy in karting. We do IKR and are doing really well on older equipment but we are accused of using softener, an extreme engine(we race junior tkm) and someone even asked us where we get our fuel from, when i said the garage they just raised there eyebrows.

Fact is if you turn up and quietly go about your business without the fancy overalls, van, awning and latest must have chassis and do well against people that have the above then a lot of karters don't like it. In fact they positively hate it.

Knuckle down and smile inside and take it as a huge compliment to your progress, and of course take steps to prevent it happening again. Good luck.
