The ridiculous slow pace of most starts actually creates a first corner problem. I have mentioned this many times before. The starts are even slower now. With a faster start ( not flat out), gaps appear between karts, and enable karts to slot in, before the first corner. The current slow starts just create a huge problem, even before the karts get to the start line. With the slow start all karts are touching each other, and there are no gaps to slot into, before the reach the first corner. I have been involved/watching karting since 1976, I have watched all over the world, and the one thing that creates first corner crashes is slow starts.
