We had the same problem. We were running a Project One chassis and my lad was 7kg over. We investigated the best options and BRK was the general consensus. This was around December 2012. My lad turned 11 in May so we didn't bother upgrading and went straight to Junior TKM. 128kg weight with the gold restricter and he's well away now. 10kg is a lot of weight to dodge around and we even found 7kg was just too much. Good in the wet for traction but straight line speed and getting out of corners was tough.
