1, perhaps clubs should have random cameras on board. 'The clerks cameras'. Not for individual appeals but as a deterrent. Or everyone use there own camera if they want, but there would have to be strict and sensible rules with regard to footage review. Often its someone else's footage that shows what has happened to your driver, which then gets complicated. Keep it simple.
I still think there is mileage in logging nose cone damage or the number used. There are rogue drivers that I have seen flatten nose after nose during a race weekend at one circuit - and the next weekend they do exactly the same at a different club.
