Yep, my thoughts exactly Aquila on tethers and clips. I think for hollow axles then this would be a really good way to make progress to stop wheels, hubs and broken axles leaving the kart.

Then on the grid the MSA (or other association with many advantages) chap can walk down the grid making sure things are in place.

Over regulation? well maybe, given other bits that are not tight can drop off.

Wheels roll and bounce quite well though so I think having something to stop them leaving the kart is a good thing.

OK, maybe I will do a bit more research on this and make something up.
